The astute will notice that there are two green wagons in WU. One is the Freedom wagon, which is supposed to be green, and the other is the Crusader wagon, which is supposed to be white, but isn't.

The Crusader textures were disabled in WU years ago due to a copyright. They still exist, you just need to re-enable them. Here's how.

Close any running copies of Wurm Unlimited.

Download and install 7zip if you don't have it already, or use your current archive manager that supports JAR files.

The # character is used at the beginning of a line in the config text files as a way to comment it out/disable it from being read in as a setting. When you remove the leading # from a line, it enables it and WU will read it as part of its settings. Thus, what we're about to do is re-enable settings that were disabled due to a copyright issue with the Crusader textures.

Navigate to your WurmLauncher/packs folder.

1. Right click on pmk.jar and Open with 7zip File Manager.
2. Right click on mappings.txt and Edit.
3. Find the Crusader lines that start with # and remove the #. Shown with #'s removed below.
4. File, Save (CTRL-S), close the text editor (notepad, unless you use something else as default).
5. When the popup asks, update the file.

1. Right click on graphics.jar and Open with 7zip File Manager.
2. Find and open mappings.txt and search for the string “.thec” (without the quotes).
3. Remove the leading # from the line it finds (there is only one search result). Shown with # removed below.
   
4. File, Save (CTRL-S), close the text editor (notepad, unless you use something else as default).
5. When the popup asks, update the file. This will take a while since it's the main graphics file.

You should now be able to see the Crusader textures for wagon, tabard and banner.

NOTE: If you get “file in use” errors when updating the files, it is because a copy of Wurm Unlimited is stuck running in the background. Use Task Manager to close all copies of Wurm Client, or reboot to fix the issue.

I was able to do it in Linux Mint. Use your built-in archive manager in place of 7zip. The procedure is pretty much the same.
