Deeding Costs
Cost Overview
Deed tiles make up the size of your deed. Perimeter tiles are an extra boundary surrounding your deed tiles, which is a buffer zone where non-citizens cannot build and things decay faster.
- Deed Tile Purchase = The one time purchase of deed tiles.
- Perimeter Purchase = The one time purchase of perimeter tiles, which surround the deed tiles.
| Deed Tile Purchase | Perimeter Tile Purchase |
|---|---|
| 1c per tile | 50i per tile |
Overall cost will include 3 months of upkeep, which is deposited into your settlement's upkeep upon purchase.
- Deed Tile Upkeep = Monthly upkeep cost of deed tiles.
- Perimeter Upkeep = Monthly upkeep cost of perimeter tiles, which surround the deed tiles.
| Deed Tile Upkeep | Perimeter Tile Upkeep |
|---|---|
| 20i per tile | 5i per tile |
Configurations
Default Minimal Deed Configuration
| N,E,S,W Setting | Size | Number of Tiles | Tile Purchase Price | Upkeep | Total Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5x5x5x5 | 11×11 | 121 | 1s 21c | 3s (1s x 3) | 4s 21c |
NOTE: Since upkeep minimum is 1s per month, it doesn't make sense to use this configuration as you're not getting the maximum tiles for the money.
Minimal Configuration 1
In configuration one the actual upkeep is 96c 60i, which is rounded up to 1s since upkeep cannot be below the 1s minimum.
| N,E,S,W Setting | Size | Number of Tiles | Tile Purchase Price | Upkeep | Total Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10x10x11x11 | 21×23 | 483 | 4s 83c | 3s (96c 60i rounded up to 1s x 3) | 7s 83c |
Minimal Configuration 2 (Suggested)
In configuration two we gain tiles by adding one more tile in one direction, which puts the monthly upkeep slightly over 1s at 1s 1c 20i. For the 3 month upkeep cost upfront the 1s 1c 20i is rounded down to 1s (for whatever reason), but subsequent monthly upkeep for the settlement will be 1s 1c 20i.
| N,E,S,W Setting | Size | Number of Tiles | Tile Purchase Price | Upkeep | Total Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10x11x11x11 | 22×23 | 506 | 5s 6c | 3s (1s 1c 20i rounded down to 1s x 3) | 8s 6c |
NOTE: It doesn't matter where you use the 10 and 11's, as long as there is one 10 and three 11's in the N, E, S, W setting.
Things To Know
- Decay sets in when upkeep drops below 30 days (Mythmoor).
- If upkeep is less than 1s then upkeep is rounded up to 1s.
- If upkeep is over 1s, but below a threshold (unknown), the upkeep is rounded down to 1s for the 3 month initial upkeep cost. Upkeep after settlement is the actual cost in silver, copper and iron.
