Altars, Statuettes and Deity Worship

A Word From Freth

I'm a Christian. The deity worship aspect of the game is something I choose not to participate in, because it's false worship/idolatry.

  • I do not create altars.
  • I do not pray at altars.
  • The only altar I own is at Perry; a bunny altar that was a gift from my citizens.
  • I do not and will not have temples on my settlements.
  • I will not help you with this aspect of the game. You can find plenty of help via CA HELP or GL Freedom chat.

You can heal yourself without spells, using cotton, farmer's salve and healing covers in combination with enchanted tiles, but there are certain aspects of the game that can only be achieved through spells. I've had to compromise to be able to do certain things in the game. I'm not happy with it, and it's my own personal struggle, but I don't worship deities in-game anymore.

In closing, it's not my place to tell you what to do. I know my own convictions and that I personally will not participate in the worship aspect of the game anymore, nor will I encourage others to do so. You can make your own choice.

Altar Placement

If you must have an altar, the best place is in your own home. This is where I would prefer that you keep them. You may notice that there are some strewn around here and there. These are from before I made this rule, or are owned by my co-mayor Giai.
