====== Max Heap Size ======

===== Symptom =====

Lag at times, especially with chunks loading in.

===== Fix =====

It is recommended that you increase the max heal size memory setting to 8gb.  Here's how.

1. **Close WU** if it is running.
2. Go to your **WurmLauncher folder**.
3. Edit the **LaunchConfig.ini** file.
4. Set **MaxHeapSize=8192m**
5. **Save** the file.
6. Run WU.  Enjoy reduced lag.

==== SSD Drive ====

Run Wurm Unlimited on an SSD drive if you don't already.

==== Render Distance ====

//NOTE:  This can be done while the game is running.//

1. Escape for menu, Settings or Settings gear from launcher.
2. Graphics tab, scroll down and adjust Tree Render Dist, Item & Creature Render Dist and Structure Render Dist.

This helps if you're running multiple alts at the same time.
