 * The settlement guard setting defaults to 1.  If you do not set guards to 0 when deeding, you will be charged 2s per guard to purchase them and 1s per guard after.  Settlement guards are not necessary on the Prime map. Find a place that already has a guard tower, or build one.  Tower guards are not strong enough to kill high end mobs on Plains and Northlands, neither are settlement guards, but they can still be useful for offloading mob aggro during the fight, or to escape.
